The Trick to Buying Anniversary Frames

If you’ve ever wondered what to get someone for an anniversary gift then you’ve finally found your answer- a gift that’s practical, personal, traditional and modern all at the same time. What is this mystery gift? It’s an anniversary frame. It may seem simple but everyone has pictures they want to share and this a perfect way to give a personal and treasured gift.

Finding a Frame with a Broad Range of Uses

The trick to finding a beautiful anniversary frame is finding a frame that has a broad range of uses for all types of pictures and is made to last. This means that you want a frame that will go with a variety of picture styles without looking dated.

Generally, you’ll want a well made frame made out of quality material like solid wood, solid pewter, silver plate, sterling silver and other types of metal that are designed to last. Glass is also a possibility however, the chances of breakage are significantly higher than with other materials. I’d personally recommend avoiding anniversary frames made out of paper, plastic or fabric as these frames will likely not last as long nor be valued as highly as other materials.

Often times people look for anniversary picture frames with a special year designation or say “anniversary” on it. However, what many people forget is that this frame will only be used for that one couple’s anniversary frame. Why not give a keepsake frame that will become a family heirloom for decades instead of disposed of after that couple is gone? If you’re going to give a special anniversary gift why not give one that’s worth keeping?

Personally speaking, some of my favorite personal belongings were anniversary gifts that were given to my grandparents and great-grandparents from someone dear to them. These items don’t have anniversary referenced on them anywhere yet I get to enjoy them regularly as beautiful items in my home. Just imagine how happy that person would be if they knew they’re gift would be enjoyed for so many years.

If your someone who wants to celebrate and identify a specific anniversary year then here are some great ways to be practical, fun, traditional and modern all at the same time. The trick is giving an anniversary frame with the traditional or modern materials for each anniversary year.
